Soprano Elizabeth Kennedy’s voice has been described by the Boston Herald as “possessing an inner radiance and strength” (Gewertz). She was further commended by the Boston Globe for the role of Pamina, as she “unfurled her big creamy soprano and showed suavity of line, lucid diction and lovely soft high notes. She has a real presence and command.” (Larsen). A prize winner in the regional finals of the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions, Kennedy’s recent credits include NYC solo appearances in Faure's Requiem, Mozart’s Sunday Vespers, Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Handel’s Messiah, Bach's Magnificat, and the roles of Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, and Adele in Die Fledermaus. Other performances include Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro at Salt Marsh Opera, Lucy in The Telephone with the Natchez Festival of Music, La Cugina in Madama Butterfly with Boston Lyric Opera, and the Foreign Princess in Rusalka with Symphony ProMusica. She is a founding member of enCANTA Collective, an NYC-based ensemble performing multicultural works of vocal chamber music. Kennedy was soprano soloist in the recent premier of Pasatieri’s cantata, In the Light of Angels, with Mostly Baroque Players.

We are bringing the grand piano out on the terraces so the extra $10 in the fee pays for this extravagance.
