The most popular show at Sounds of the City returns for a third straight year.  Due to artistic differences, some participants have changed.  Everyone but Paul was fired. All the songs have changed.  Yet all the glamour and joy of an evening in the garden remain.  You will never forget this evening as Paul is joined by his new partner in crime, the multi-talented actor/singer/musician David Corlew as they display dazzling dexterity with song interpretations and humor.  You will not be the only one to die if you miss this performance.   Thanks to the Actors Fund for making it possible to do this show with David.

We will be raising money for Arts Ignite.  My favorite charity that uses the Arts to change kid’s lives.

You will wish you were dead if you miss this show and you won’t be the only one.

David Corlew is a New York-based actor, singer, and multi-instrumentalist.

He recently had his network television debut with a guest spot on Law and Order, spent 2023 traveling across Japan as Gaston in Disney-on-Classic’s symphonic concert of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and is a veteran of the two-person, four-hand piano whodunit, MURDER FOR TWO, as well as a ready contributor to other actor-musician productions where he can apply his skills as a violinist, violist, and guitarist. His theatrical work has been seen on stage regionally at the likes of the Goodman Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, and Peninsula Players, among others. As an actor, he prizes works that find humor in the midst of problem-solving and finds inspiration in playwrights like Lisa Kron, David Lindsay-Abaire, Bess Wohl, and David Adjimi and television series like Fleabag, The Good Fight, and Modern Family. He would consider getting into a fight to play Mercutio, Algernon, the Count in Nozze di Figaro, or any character in a Noel Coward play.

While his focus lies primarily on his work as an actor, Corlew was previously one of half a trapeze duo and remains a sought-after coach.  A graduate of the Professional Training Program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, he has been the porter for four different duo trapeze acts, studied with Chloé Farah and Aimée Hancock, performed in several original circus-theatre productions, sharpened his skillset as an aerial choreographer under Sylvia Hernandez-Distasi, and distinguished himself as coach and teacher around Chicago before relocating to New York.
